You need to use MidiBridge (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/midibrid ... 60859?mt=8) to enable Akai SynthStation 25 compatibility in BeatMaker 2.
IMPORTANT: Ensure you have at least iOS 5.0 on your device.
1. Connect your SS25
2. Launch MidiBridge, then go to the 'Preferences' menu.
3. Set "Run in background" set to "ON". You need to set this option, or MidiBridge will stop handling incoming SS25 notes if it's put in background.
4. Launch BeatMaker 2 and start composing!
